Privacy policy: what happens to your images

How Pixvisor handles your images and data: images are processed on demand and never stored, plus details on cookies and third-party advertising.

Last updated: September 2026.

Pixvisor (“we”, “us”) is designed to respect your privacy. This policy explains what we process and why.

Your images

When you analyse or clean an image, the file is processed to read and rewrite its metadata and the result is returned to you. We do not permanently store your images, and we do not use them for any purpose other than performing the action you requested. Your original file is never modified.

Photo metadata often carries precise GPS coordinates. When it does, those coordinates are shown to you and to nobody else. We never pass them to advertising partners or to any other third party.

Information we process

  • Images you submit: processed transiently to perform the requested operation, then discarded.
  • Profile data: if you save an author/copyright profile, it is stored only in your browser’s local storage, never on our servers.
  • Basic technical data: standard server logs (IP address, user agent) for security and abuse prevention.

We process images to carry out the operation you asked for. We process server logs because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the service secure. Advertising cookies are processed on the basis of your consent, which you give or refuse in the consent dialog.

We keep nothing for longer than its purpose requires. Images are discarded as soon as the operation finishes. Logs are kept only while they remain useful for security and abuse prevention, then deleted.

Cookies and advertising

Pixvisor sets no advertising cookies of its own, and our analytics runs without cookies. The site does load Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, place and read cookies in your browser, and may use web beacons or your IP address to collect information as a result of ads being served here. That data lets Google and its partners serve you ads based on your earlier visits to Pixvisor or to other websites.

Google is not the only company that may be involved. Other ad technology providers can receive data and serve ads here. The current list of those providers appears in the consent dialog, where each one links to its own privacy information.

You can switch off personalised advertising from Google in your Google Ads Settings. To opt out of personalised advertising from many other vendors in one place, use www.aboutads.info. Opting out does not remove advertising. It means what you see is no longer chosen from your browsing history.

When we serve ads to visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for consent first, through Google’s certified consent management platform (TCF v2.2). You can decline and carry on using the site.

You can revisit your advertising-privacy choices at any time. Clearing this site’s cookies in your browser makes the consent dialog appear again the next time it would have shown, and Google’s own Ads Settings switches off ad personalisation independently of this site. Both paths are always available; neither requires an account.

Analytics

Site traffic is measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not follow you across sites. No analytics profile of yours exists.

Data subject rights

Because no images and no accounts are stored, there is normally no personal data of yours on our servers to access, export or erase. Server logs are kept only for security, contain no file contents, and are deleted on the schedule above.

For any request, question or complaint about data handling, write to the address on the contact page. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
