Our mission
Every photo carries hidden data: where it was taken, on what device, by whom, and increasingly, whether it was made by AI. We think you should be able to read all of it, understand it, and decide what stays.

We show you exactly what an image reveals, in plain language, not raw tag names, and explain why it matters. Nothing is hidden from you.
Your files stay yours
Images are processed on the fly and deleted immediately. They’re never stored, logged or shared. Your original file is never modified; every action makes a clean copy.
Honest about limits
We analyse metadata. An invisible pixel watermark like SynthID can’t be detected or removed by cleaning, and we say so, clearly, wherever it matters.

We measure before we claim.
Every number on this site comes from a file we opened and read, field by field. When we cannot measure something ourselves, we say what the standard does and stop there.
What reads your files?
ExifTool, the reference metadata engine photographers and forensic analysts have used for over twenty years. We did not write our own parser.
A homemade one would be worse, and this is the wrong place to be original. Pixvisor is an independent project with no marketing department to please.
Where does the 11% figure come from?
We took an iPhone photo, read every field, removed the location with iOS, and read it again. The count went from 177 fields to 157. Twenty fields left, which is 11%.
The 157 that stayed include the iPhone model, the lens, the iOS version and 54 MakerNotes fields. Both counts and the method are published in the full write-up, so you can check our arithmetic.
What will we not claim?
That we can spot every AI image. Our detection reads the metadata layer, so an invisible watermark painted into the pixels stays invisible to us. We print that on the tool itself, not in a footnote.
Finding no AI signals does not mean a human made the picture. It means the file carries no trace either way, and the interface will never round that up to a verdict.
A tool that oversells what it knows is worse than no tool, because you would act on it.
