Changelog: what changed on Pixvisor
Dated changes to the Pixvisor tools, guides and methodology: new features, corrections, and anything a returning reader should know.
2026-09-25
- Migration start. The site is being rebuilt as a static Astro front end served by a Cloudflare Worker, with the same 5 tools moved unchanged and the same FastAPI backend. The current site stays live during the whole migration.
- Hotfix on the live site: the AdSense script now loads only on blog pages
(it was on every page, including the tool and legal pages), and every page
carries the
google-adsense-accountmeta tag so site verification no longer depends on the script. - AI checker wording: the AI card no longer shows a percentage-like confidence bar. It reports the exact signals found, each with a strength (strong/weak), and three verdicts - “AI traces found”, “Inconclusive”, or “No AI traces in metadata (this does not prove the image is real)”.
- Upload limit aligned: the server accepts the 25 MB the interface already promised (the production default was 15 MB).
2026-09-09
- Font loading fixed. Explicit dimensions on the logo and a higher fetch priority for it: the LCP element stopped competing with the 87 KiB of preloaded fonts. LCP went from about 5.2 s to about 2.1 s in the mobile Lighthouse runs.
2026-09-07
- Consent: removed the “Cookie preferences” footer button. Revocation goes through the Google consent dialog (clearing this site’s cookies reopens it), and the privacy policy explains the path.
2026-09-03
- Android guide published: how to view photo metadata on Android, from a real Galaxy S24 photo read field by field (209 fields, Samsung’s private block decoded).
- Rate limiting per visitor corrected earlier in the month and covered by tests: the limit is counted per visitor IP, never on the shared service key.
- Blog live with the first 8 tested guides across basics, privacy and AI detection.
2026-09-01
- Content Credentials (C2PA) checker shipped, completing the five tools: metadata viewer, metadata remover, metadata editor, AI image checker and C2PA checker.
- Guides published: what EXIF data is, how to view / change / remove photo metadata, what AI image detectors can prove, and how to remove photo metadata on an iPhone.
