Corrections: how to report an error
How to tell us that something on Pixvisor is wrong: what to include in a report, how corrections are verified, and how they are logged publicly.
Anything published here can be challenged, and corrections are part of the work.
How to report an error
Write to contact@pixvisor.com with:
- the page and, if possible, the sentence that is wrong;
- what you observed instead, with the file type or device involved if relevant;
- a source, if the error is about a fact rather than a test result.
You do not need to be sure it is an error. A result that reads as misleading, or a sentence that seems overstated, is worth reporting on its own.
How corrections are handled
A reported error is verified against the same standard as the original claim: re-run the test, or re-read the cited source. If the claim was wrong, the page is corrected and dated. If the claim was right but unclear, the wording is fixed - clarity defects count.
How corrections are logged
Material corrections are recorded in the changelog with their date, so a reader who saw the earlier version can find what changed. The correction itself is stated plainly: what was wrong, what is right now.
What we will not do
Quiet edits. A page that changed without a trace is worse than an error that stood: it breaks the reason to trust either version.
