Pixvisor Editor

Shared editorial byline

Pixvisor Editor is the shared byline of every guide, tool page and tag reference on this site. It is not a person: it is the name under which Pixvisor publishes, and it answers for the work as a whole.

Why a shared byline?

We decided not to put a name or a portrait on these pages. A byline should tell you who is accountable, and here that is Pixvisor as a whole: the same process applies to every page, whoever drafted it. Inventing a persona to look more personal would be the opposite of what this site is about. If a named contributor ever signs a page, the page will say so.

What the byline stands for

A page signed Pixvisor Editor follows four rules.

  • Every measured number comes from a real file we read field by field, and the page says which device or file, and when.
  • Every step on a phone or a computer follows the maker's own help page (Apple, Google), which is cited on the page.
  • Every source is opened and checked before it is cited, with the date it was read.
  • Every page states its limits: what the test does not cover, and what a metadata tool cannot see, such as pixel watermarks like SynthID.

How you can check the work

You do not have to take the byline on trust. The tools on this site are the ones we use for the guides, so you can run any file through the photo metadata viewer and compare. The rules behind the privacy score and the AI checks are in our methodology. Each page shows the date it was last reviewed, and dated changes are listed in the changelog.

If something is wrong, report it: a claim is checked again against its test or its source, and a material correction is logged with its date.
